Benefits of Blue Hours.

The Wonder of Water Awaits

Water is all around us!

Whether it’s the Caribbean Ocean blues, glistening pool waters, or even the fun fountains at Camana Bay or The Grove, water possesses an uncanny ability to heal, inspire, and rejuvenate.

Perhaps you’ve heard about the benefits of ‘green spaces’ and their positive effect on children’s physical and mental health. Green spaces, such as parks and forests, can calm a child’s mind, help them focus, and reduce their anxiety. But, just as beneficial in other ways are the lesser talked about ‘blue spaces’, which we are surrounded by here on our little island.

Ocean Memories

Childhood is full of wonder and exploration. Some of my most cherished moments growing up are from when I’ve been surrounded by water, either playing in a pool with my big sister on holidays, weekly playtime with mum at the local swimming pool, or being on the beach during summer holidays. The time we spend as children near water not only forms indelible memories but also fosters a profound bond with it. Living here gives your little ones the ability to create these lifelong memories.

Blue Mind

Spending time near or around water triggers a neurological and psychological response that promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances overall well-being. Water can calm our little one’s mental state and encourage creativity. ‘Blue spaces’ can engage multiple senses, including visual, auditory, and tactile sensations.

If you need to hit the reset button or make plans for the weekend, try a swim at your home pool, or head to the beach and enjoy island life. For a quick and easy playtime, let your kids run through the fountains and cool off! Whatever it is, make a ‘blue space’ a priority.
